Heroes of Dragon Age Electronic Arts Free A collectible card-type game with animated battles, this only came out a few weeks ago, and I wasn't too fond of it.

DragonVale Backflip Studios Free Avoid this game if you ever want to spend asingle waking moment not thinking about dragon breeding again.

Asphalt 8: Airborne Gameloft $.99 One of the best racing games on any platform in 2013, at least by my accounting.

Containment: The Zombie Puzzler Bootsnake Games $1.99 The zombie apocalypse has never been so orderly and logical. This is an amazingly well-presented game.

Dots Playdots, Inc. Free One of the most addictive mobile games of the year, this one got tons of mainstream attention. More dots.

Into the Dead PikPok Free You aren't supposed to endlessly run into the misty, zombie-filled forest, yet here we are.

Clash of Clans Supercell Free Massively multiplayer online strategy games came into their own this year, and Clash of Clans is living, profitable proof.
